003: Ocean Beach, Sloat Ave.

TONS of wildlife here! Dolphins swimming right by me (within 20 feet), sea lions, big jellyfish, diving pelicans, and a couple of other sea-birds I couldn’t identify. I need to dig out my Audobon’s California field guide. So this was my first OB session. Was warm and waves were pretty clean. Still kind of breaking more softly outside and then unloading a bit more inside. Lots of whitewater to battle through. Some of the sets were overhead, and being that far out makes it feel a little bigger. Got some decent rides, but still don’t feel like I’ve really seen what this area truly has to offer surf-wise.
